WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE KIT:
- Everything you need, right out of the box:
- 58-Tooth Rear Sprocket – Precision-machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum for maximum strength and ultra-light performance.
- Upgraded Stainless Steel Chain Adjuster Bolts – Longer and stronger than stock, built to handle the added torque.
- BLR TUNING 420 Chain Kit – Includes two master links and one extra inner link for the break-in process.
- Tube of Blue Thread Locker – For securing your hardware the right way.
- One Black Zip Tie – For re-securing the brake cable to the swing arm after installation.
INSTALLATION TORQUE SPECS:
- Rear sprocket bolts: 33 ft-lbs (use blue thread locker)
- Rear axle nut: 63.5 ft-lbs
- Use synthetic grease on the axle before sliding it through the hub.
FITMENT:


AFTER INSTALL MAKE SURE TO OIL YOUR CHAIN. WE USE PJ1 BLACK LABEL OR CHAIN WAX. DO NOT RIDE THE BIKE UNTIL YOU HAVE OILED THE CHAIN.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (IMPORTANT)
1. Brake Cable Preparation:
- Cut the factory zip tie and remove the T30 Torx bolt that secures the rear brake cable to the swing arm.
- Pull 8–10 mm of slack backward through the frame toward your rear brake assembly. There’s plenty of slack available in the line.
- Reinstall the T30 Torx bolt, then fasten the brake cable back to the swing arm using the included black zip tie.
- When finished, the setup should look completely factory stock.
2. Chain Installation and Break-In:
- Use the included 420 chain with both master links and the extra inner link during the initial setup.
- The chain will feel very loose at first, even with the wheel fully back on the adjusters. This is normal.
- Ride the bike gently for about 1 mile, easing into full throttle a few times to let the chain stretch and settle.
- Return to your workspace, loosen everything, and remove the extra inner link and one master link.
- Reinstall and properly adjust the chain.
- Ride another 5–10 miles, then recheck and fine-tune chain tension again.
After this process, your setup will be properly seated and ready for maximum performance.
PERFORMANCE GAINS:
Upgrading from the stock 51-tooth rear sprocket to the 58-tooth delivers approximately a 13.7% torque increase at the rear wheel.
That means more low-end punch, faster launches, and instant throttle response — while sacrificing only a small amount of top-end speed.
During testing, the stock speedometer still read 49–50 mph, though the actual top speed is slightly lower due to gearing changes.
