ECU Flash Tuning Policy for Unsupported ECUs

READ THROUGH THIS PAGE ENTIRELY TO UNDERSTAND EXACTLY THE PROCESS WHEN WE COME ACROSS AN ECU THAT IS NOT SUPPORTED.

 

BLR TUNING:

  • At BLR TUNING, we proudly utilize WOOLICH RACING tuned software, widely recognized as the gold standard in ECU flash tuning. Our commitment is to deliver reliable, high-quality tuning solutions backed by decades of real-world experience.


  • However, in some cases, a customer may send in or bring us a motorcycle equipped with an ECU that is not currently supported by the WOOLICH RACING platform. The following outlines our process and policies in these situations.


Communication Is Critical:

  • If we receive an ECU—either by mail or in person—and determine that it is not supported, we will always contact you first to discuss available options before proceeding.

 

  • For this reason, it is extremely important that you provide accurate and reliable contact information when placing an order. This can be included in your checkout notes, or you may contact us directly via phone, text, or email.


  • Without a way to reach you, resolving issues becomes significantly more difficult and may delay your service.

 


Available Options for Unsupported ECUs: YOUR CHOICE - ALWAYS -


1. Mailed-In ECUs -

If your ECU was shipped to us and is not supported:

  • We will return the ECU to you.
  • A refund will be issued for the service.
  • Return shipping costs (typically $15) will be deducted from the original payment.

 

2. Walk-In ECUs -

If you brought your ECU directly to us:

  • We will return the ECU to you immediately.
  • A full refund for the ECU flash service will be issued.

 

3. Scheduled Motorcycle Appointments -

If you scheduled an appointment and we determine during disassembly that your ECU is not supported:

  • You will still be responsible for the labor involved in removing and reinstalling components.
  • A refund will be issued for the ECU flash service itself.


ECU Submission to WOOLICH RACING

In some cases, WOOLICH RACING may request that the ECU be sent to them for development and support integration.

If you choose this option:

  • We charge a $40 flat-rate fee to cover shipping and handling costs.
  • Turnaround time is typically 14–30 business days, depending on WOOLICH RACING’s workload.


During this process:

  • In some instances, the ECU can be accessed electronically without modification.
  • In other cases, a small incision may be made in the ECU housing to access the circuit board.
  • After work is completed, the unit is professionally sealed with epoxy.

Once returned, your ECU remains a sealed unit and will function exactly as it did prior to the process. This method is how new ECUs are added to the WOOLICH RACING tuning platform.


WOOLICH RACING performs this work regularly and stands behind their process.


We would then build a custom tune specifically for your bike and the list of parts that you gave us. We would then flash the ECU with that custom tune. Then we would proceed in getting your ECU back to you. Whether that's us shipping it to you, handing it to you in person, or installing it back on your bike.


Risk Disclosure -

It is important to understand that an ECU is an electronic device. At any stage of the tuning process — whether being shipped, handled, or connected to tuning equipment — there is inherent risk, including:


  • Malfunction or failure
  • Physical damage
  • Loss or theft during shipping

 

While we have been fortunate not to encounter these issues, they are always possibilities.


By placing an order with BLR TUNING, you acknowledge and accept these risks.


Liability Policy -

BLR TUNING is fully transparent about our policies:


  • We are not responsible for any ECU that is damaged, lost, or stolen during any part of the tuning or shipping process.


This policy is agreed upon at the time of purchase through our website.
