MAP SWITCH FOR PCV AND PC6 BY DYNOJET INSTRUCTIONS FOR C3 SOFTWARE

Dynojet PC6 Map Switch Setup Instructions (Gen 1 & Gen 2 PC6) ALSO WORKS WITH PCV

For all PC6 models including Gen 1 PC6 and the newer Modulated Gen 2 PC6.

First, you will need a Windows computer or laptop.

Go to the Dynojet website: www.dynojet.com.
Under the Downloads section, you will find the Dynojet Power Core Software Suite.

Once Power Core is installed, open the software and then click on the C3 Tuning Software.

After C3 is open, plug in your PC6.
If the PC6 is already installed on the vehicle, you will need:

  • The key / ignition in the ON position

  • The kill switch in the RUN position

  • Do NOT start the vehicle

Now in the C3 software, look at the top of the page for the wrench icon labeled “Configure.”
Click on this icon.

In the window that opens, click on Map Switch.

This will open the Map Switch settings window.

You should see Enable / Disable, and to the right it will indicate whether it is currently Disabled or Enabled.
Click in that field and a drop-down arrow will appear. Click the arrow and select Enable.

Below that, you will see Switch Input #1 or Switch Input #2.
Click this field and select the switch input you are using to plug the map switch into the PC6.

  • Switch Input #1 is the two holes closest to the center of the PC6

  • Switch Input #2 is the two holes next to that

Wire color and orientation do not matter for these inputs.

Your map switch has dots on it:

  • 1 dot = Map #1

  • 2 dots = Map #2

In the C3 software, once you enable the map switch, you will see a second map position appear in the Explorer window on the left side.

Now when you send a map file to the PC6, the software will ask if you want to send it as Map #1 or Map #2.

Final Step (Most Important)

Click SEND — this is the green arrow at the top of the C3 software.

Always remember:
Anything you do in the C3 software is only happening on the computer. It does not become official on the PC6 until you click SEND.

If you ever want to verify your changes:

After clicking SEND, close the map file(s) by clicking the X next to the file name, or unplug the PC6.

Then reconnect the PC6 and click RECEIVE if the file names were closed.

This will pull the map(s) (tune files) from the PC6 back into the software, allowing you to verify all settings, including the map switch settings, to make sure everything is correct.

Always remember to click SEND when you are finished.
