BETTER SPARK PLUGS MEANS - BETTER PERFORMANCE, BETTER SPARK AND A CLEANER BURN. THIS EQUALS MORE HORSEPOWER.
WEATHER YOUR SPYDER IS COMPLETELY STOCK OR EXTREMELY MODIFIED THESE SPARK PLUGS ARE THE WAY TO GO.
THESE ARE THE SAME SPARK PLUGS WE TESTED AT THE DRAGSTRIP. WE HAD RECORD BREAKING RESULTS.
WHY IS IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS BETTER THAN THE STANDARD PLATINUM SPARK PLUGS...?
Iridium is harder than platinum and has an even higher melting point (4,442º F), which allows these spark plugs to last about 25% longer than platinum spark plugs. They also have a smaller electrode tip diameter, which increases the spark efficiency and contributes to better engine function.
According to NGK, you should not use lubricant or anti-seize on their spark plugs. NGK says that lubricants can reduce frictional forces at the thread faces, which can lead to inaccurate torque charts and over-tightening.
However, some say that you can use a small amount of dielectric grease on the spark plug wire boots to prevent arcing in wet conditions. You can also put a small amount of silicone dielectric grease on the upper part of the plug to prevent the coil boot or wire boot from gluing itself to the spark plug.
