Replace worn or flattened factory lock washers in your Can-Am Ryker secondary clutch with these domed ribbed replacement lock washers for the roller bolts.

 

These washers are designed as a replacement for the factory OEM domed ribbed lock washers used to secure the secondary clutch roller bolts.

DOMED RIBBED LOCK WASHERS - SOLD AS A SET OF 2

 

The Can-Am Ryker secondary clutch uses domed ribbed lock washers with the roller bolts. These washers help maintain proper tension and help secure the roller bolts during operation.

 

The factory OEM washers should always be inspected whenever the secondary clutch is serviced.

 

Over time, the domed portion of the washer can become flattened from use. Once the washer is flattened, it is no longer usable and should be replaced.

 

Reusing flattened, damaged, or worn lock washers can prevent the roller bolts from being properly secured and may contribute to movement or loosening of the hardware inside the secondary clutch.

 

These replacement domed ribbed lock washers are ideal for:

 

• - Replacing flattened OEM washers
• - Replacing damaged or worn washers
• - Servicing the secondary clutch
• - Replacing the washers when installing new rollers
• - Completing a Can-Am Ryker CVT maintenance service

IMPORTANT WASHER ORIENTATION

 

The domed ribbed lock washers must be installed in the correct orientation.

 

- Domed/curved side: Faces toward the aluminum secondary clutch

- Outward concave side: Faces toward the head of the roller bolt

 

Correct washer orientation is important. Installing the washer backward can prevent it from functioning properly and may affect how the roller bolt is secured.

 

Always verify that the domed portion of the washer is facing toward the aluminum secondary clutch before tightening the roller bolts.

WHY REPLACE THE DOMED RIBBED LOCK WASHERS?

 

The lock washers are wear items and should be inspected whenever the secondary clutch is disassembled.

 

The factory OEM washers can become flattened, worn, or damaged over time. If the domed shape is no longer present, the washer is no longer usable and needs to be replaced.

 

Whenever you are replacing the secondary clutch rollers, it is good practice to inspect and replace the domed ribbed lock washers rather than reusing washers that are flattened or compromised.

 

Replacing the washers helps ensure that the roller bolts are installed with properly functioning locking hardware.

Whenever servicing the Can-Am Ryker secondary clutch, always inspect the entire clutch assembly and all related components.

 

The secondary clutch contains multiple moving parts, and components can wear or become damaged over time. These moving components are wear parts and should be inspected during regular CVT maintenance.

 

If the factory OEM domed ribbed lock washers are flattened, damaged, or worn, they are no longer usable and must be replaced.

 

Always install the replacement washers in the correct orientation:

 

- Domed/curved side toward the aluminum secondary clutch

- Outward concave side toward the head of the roller bolt
