6. A screen will appear asking if you want to update the device.
7. Press the large ENTER button to continue.
8. Allow the PV3 to complete the update.
Once the update is finished, your PV3 will be running the newest firmware.
GETTING STARTED WITH QUICK TUNE OPTIONS
You need to be connected to the vehicle's diagnostic port with your PV3 in order to see the complete Quick Tune menu in the PV3 for your vehicle.
- Connect the PV3 to the vehicle and power the vehicle on without starting the engine.
- If the vehicle has a kill switch, make sure it is in the RUN position.
- If the vehicle uses a key, make sure the key is turned on.
- If the vehicle uses a key fob, make sure the key fob is close enough to the vehicle for the vehicle to recognize it.
ACCESSING THE QUICK TUNE MENU -
Your PV3 should be on the Channels/Gauge screen. This is essentially the PV3 home screen.

Press the large ENTER button once to open the main menu.

Use the UP and DOWN arrows to select Tuning.
Select Quick Tune.

You should now see the Quick Tune options that are available for your particular vehicle. These will very depending on the vehicle / ECU.

WHAT FEATURES MIGHT BE AVAILABLE?
The available options will vary depending on the vehicle.
For example, you may see an option such as:
- POWER LIMITATION MODE - This option may be available on certain EU-model vehicles and can allow you to turn the power limitation on or off.
- TIRE SIZE -Some vehicles will have a Tire Size option. This allows you to enter the tire size currently installed on the vehicle. On some vehicles, changing the tire size may be necessary to prevent the vehicle from going into limp mode when installing a larger-diameter or wider tire.
- DASHBOARD STARTUP MESSAGE - Some vehicles may have a Dashboard Startup Message option. This controls the message that appears on the vehicle's dashboard when it starts. Depending on the vehicle, you may be able to enter a custom startup message or eliminate a message such as "READ MANUAL."
OTHER FEATURES:
Depending on the vehicle, you may also see options such as:
- - Key Programming
- - Active Tests
- - Quick Tune
- - Power Limitation
- - Tire Size
- - Dashboard Startup Message
The exact features available will vary.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT AVAILABLE FEATURES:
DYNOJET continually updates the features available through the PV3.
The available settings can also vary depending on:
- - Vehicle year
- - Vehicle make
- - Vehicle model
- - ECU type
- - ECU software/firmware
- - Vehicle market or region
Because of this, we cannot show every feature that may be available on every vehicle.
We also cannot know exactly which features will be available until the PV3 is connected to the specific vehicle.
If you see a feature that you want to use and the PV3 indicates that the feature requires a license, you will need to purchase that feature license through DYNOJET.
WHEN A PV3 IS ONLY CONNECTED TO A COMPUTER AND NOT PLUGGED INTO THE VEHICLE IT WILL SHOW A MESSAGE WHEN YOU CLICK QUICK TUNE OPTION THAT SAYS
- "NO ECU CONNECTED"
THIS IS WHY WE CAN NOT SEE THE AVAILABLE OPTIONS ON OUR END. PV3 MUST BE PLUGGED IN TO YOUR VEHICLE TO SEE THE AVAILABLE OPTIONS.

The following steps explain how to obtain the required license.
STEP 3 — CONNECT THE PV3 TO YOUR WINDOWS COMPUTER.
You will need a Windows computer or laptop with an internet connection.
If your PV3 is currently connected to the vehicle, you can remove it by shutting the vehicle down and allowing the vehicle to completely power down.
Once the vehicle has powered down, disconnect the PV3 from the vehicle.
Connect the PV3 to your Windows computer or laptop.
When connected to the computer, the PV3 should display USB File Transfer Mode on its screen.

You do not need to press any buttons on the PV3 while it is in USB File Transfer Mode.
IF IT IS NOT IN USB FILE TRANSFER MODE -
IN THE MENU SCREEN - USE THE UP - DOWN ARROWS AND SCROLL TO USB FILE TRANSFER

HIT THE ENTER BUTTON
YOU SHOULD NOW SEE - USB FILE TRANSFER MODE ENABLED

STEP 4 — LOG IN TO YOUR DYNOJET ACCOUNT
Go to the DYNOJET website on your computer. WWW.DYNOJET.COM
Click the small person/account icon in the upper-right corner of the website.

Log in to your existing DYNOJET account.
If you do not already have an account, create one.
Once you are logged in:
Click the two-bar menu icon in the upper-left corner next to the DYNOJET logo.
Hover over My Account.

Select My Account.

STEP 5 — FIND UNIVERSAL TOKENS
From the My Account page, scroll down until you find Universal Tokens.
Select Device Solutions.

This should open a menu with options such as:
- Unlock Power Vision
- Unlock Power Vision 3
- Obtain a Feature License
Select Obtain a Feature License.
STEP 6 — UPLOAD YOUR PV_INFO FILE
A window will appear titled Feature Licenses.

You will need to enter the following information:
- VEHICLE MODEL - Enter the vehicle model you are working with. (EXAMPLE - 19 RYKER 900)
- NICKNAME - You must also enter a nickname. (ANYTHING WILL WORK) The nickname can be whatever you want. It can be the nickname of the vehicle, your own nickname, or anything else you choose. The important thing is that something is entered into the nickname field.
PV_INFO FILE:
You will also see a Browse button with an upload arrow.
This is where you will upload your PV_INFO file from the PV3.
With the PV3 plugged into your computer, click the Browse button.
A file-selection window will open.
On the left side of the window, scroll down until you see Power Vision.
Under Power Vision, you should see PV_INFO.
If your computer is displaying icons, PV_INFO will appear as a folder.

Double-click the PV_INFO folder.
On the right side of the window, you should now see the actual PV_INFO file.
Double-click the PV_INFO file to attach it to the DYNOJET website.
STEP 7 — REGISTER THE VEHICLE
Once you have entered the vehicle model, nickname, and uploaded the PV_INFO file, you should be able to select Register Vehicle.

The website should then take you to a screen showing the feature licenses available for that particular vehicle.

This is where you can see which Quick Tune features are available and how many Universal Tokens are required for each feature.
STEP 8 — UNDERSTANDING UNIVERSAL TOKENS

- The DYNOJET website uses Universal Tokens to purchase certain feature licenses.
- Universal Tokens are essentially your DYNOJET spending allowance for these features.
- Each available feature will show the number of tokens required to purchase it.
For example, if you have a Can-Am Ryker connected to the PV3, the website may display a list of available features specifically for that vehicle.
The available features and the number of tokens required will vary depending on the vehicle.
The photo shown on this page is an example of the features that were available when we had a 2019 Can-Am Ryker 900 ACE connected to the PV3. Your vehicle may show completely different options.

---
STEP 9 — PURCHASE THE FEATURE LICENSE
- Once you find the feature you want, look at the number shown next to Required Tokens.
- This tells you how many Universal Tokens are needed to purchase that feature.
- To purchase the feature, click the Buy button associated with it.
The DYNOJET website will then walk you through the purchase and installation process.
When you purchase a feature, DYNOJET will typically send the necessary information back to your PV3, which may include a firmware update and/or license file. This may also come via email. You will need to follow the email instructions and download the provided files.
Once the process is complete, the feature should become available on your PV3.
For example, if you purchased a Tire Size feature, you should then see the ability to enter your current tire size under the appropriate Quick Tune menu on the PV3.
The exact location and operation of the feature may vary from one vehicle to another.
STEP 10 — PURCHASING MORE UNIVERSAL TOKENS
If you do not have enough Universal Tokens to purchase the feature you want, close the feature license menu by clicking the small X in the corner of the window.

Return to the DYNOJET account area and select Get More Tokens near the top of the website.

- Universal Tokens are available in different quantities and prices.
- Token pricing may vary depending on your account and login.
For example, dealers and service centers may have different token pricing than individual customers.
- Purchase the number of tokens you need.
Once your tokens have been purchased, return to the Feature Licenses section, select the feature you want, click Buy, and follow all of the instructions provided by the DYNOJET website. (SEE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS)
DYNOJET will walk you through the remaining steps.
IMPORTANT - WHEN YOU DISCONNECT THE PV3 FROM YOUR COMPUTER
PV3 MUST BE IN USB FILE TRANSFER MODE.

YOU MUST USE THE DISCONNECT / EJECT DEVICE FEATURE BUILT INTO WINDOW.

CLICK DISCONNECT / EJECT POWERVISION.
THE POWER VISION (PV3) WILL DISAPEAR FROM THE LIST OF CONNECTED DEVICES.
NOW IT IS SAFE TO UNPLUG / REMOVE THE PV3
IMPORTANT — FEATURES VARY BY VEHICLE
The PV3 Quick Tune features are not the same for every vehicle.
The features you see are determined by the specific vehicle information contained in the PV_INFO file and the support available for that particular ECU.
Therefore, do not assume that a feature shown on one vehicle will also be available on another vehicle.
If you are unsure whether your vehicle supports a particular feature, connect the PV3 to the vehicle and check the Quick Tune menu.
If the feature is available but requires a license, the DYNOJET Feature License system will show you the available option and the number of Universal Tokens required.
